Kazakhstan tests domestically produced drones

The first tests of unmanned aerial vehicles specially developed by representatives of local enterprises for the needs of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan took place at the base of the military unit of the Air Defense Forces of the country, the press service of the Ministry of Defense said in a statement, Report informs.

All UAVs are equipped with modern video surveillance equipment, sensors, rangefinders, and thermal cameras: "The unmanned aerial vehicles took off from the catapult using a special rubber band, rose vertically like a helicopter, and continued their flight like an airplane. Drones were created by local enterprises in a short period of time.

Local companies have taken into account all the demands and wishes of the military. The fact that the drones are domestically manufactured will allow to significantly save budget funds and promptly solve the issues of their further maintenance and modernization," the MoD emphasized.

After completing the tests, the commission members gave recommendations to the drone developers on how to improve the presented models.
