Nakhchivan Regional DOST Center to receive up to 600 citizens daily

The Nakhchivan Regional DOST Center, which provides state social services through a one-stop-shop system, is expected to receive an average of 500-600 citizens daily, Farid Mammadov, chairman of the Board of the DOST Agency, told journalists, Report informs.

He said the center will provide 164 social services to the population.

"The center, where a total of 117 employees and 50 volunteers will work, is expected to receive an average of 500-600 citizens daily. All services have been organized based on the one-stop-shop principle and will be provided to Nakhchivan residents in a convenient, prompt and accessible manner," Mammadov said.

According to him, this approach makes it possible to provide various social services, including pensions, labor and employment, social benefits, disability, adoption and other services, in a single location and in a transparent manner.

The center will also carry out medical and social assessment of persons with disabilities, provide them with rehabilitation equipment according to their individual needs, and process referrals to specialized rehabilitation institutions so they can receive rehabilitation services.
