SOCAR Georgia Gas serves 808,000 subscribers

SOCAR Georgia Gas, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) that entered the Georgian natural gas market in 2007, serves 808,000 subscribers in the Caucasian country, Report informs, citing SOCAR.
Since 2007, the company has established gas supplies to more than 700 settlements in Georgia and built an 11,000-kilometer gas pipeline.
Although the state mainly funds gasification in Georgia, SOCAR invests its funds in the construction of gas pipelines in areas where Azerbaijanis live.
The company employs more than 2,000 people in Georgia, including Azerbaijanis.
