China to recognize Taliban government

China said it is ready to maintain communication with the leaders of the new Taliban government in Afghanistan, calling its establishment a "necessary step" in reconstruction, Report mentions, referring to Ariananews.af.
When asked if China would recognize the new Afghan government, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a daily briefing in Beijing that China respects Afghanistan's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
