Unfortunately, there are a small number of people abroad who do not welcome Azerbaijan's achievements, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov said during the opening ceremony of the 7th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth, Report informs.
He said there may be various reasons for this and that identifying those reasons is perhaps not the most important issue.
"The point is that some people who take a negative stance toward Azerbaijan present themselves as Azerbaijanis. Frankly, I wonder what more Azerbaijan should do for these people to change their views. Of course, we are talking about a very small group. We want you to recognize such individuals, understand the claims they make, and be able to respond to them with arguments.
Today, members of the Milli Majlis, the President's special representatives, and representatives of the education sector and other central executive authorities are here. We are all open to dialogue. We are open to discussion and well-founded criticism because one of the key instructions given to us by the President is to eliminate shortcomings wherever they exist. However, we cannot accept black propaganda, the distortion of facts, presenting the truth as false, and building campaigns against Azerbaijan on that basis. We cannot allow that, and neither should you," Muradov said.
