Fuad Muradov: Diaspora youth should be able to counter biased campaigns

Young Azerbaijanis living abroad should be able to provide well-founded responses to biased campaigns and become active members of the diaspora movement in the future, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov told journalists on the sidelines of the 7th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth hele in Zangilan.

He said more than 120 young people from 64 countries are participating in the summer camp.

"This year, we received nearly 700 applications for the camp. Our goal is for our young people to gain first-hand knowledge of the developments taking place in Azerbaijan during this one-week program. We believe they should understand the realities of Azerbaijan and be able to respond with well-founded arguments to biased campaigns directed against our country.

To achieve this, they must acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to represent Azerbaijan's interests and promote the country in the states where they live, on various international platforms, and within their own communities. I believe the greatest long-term value of this camp will be that its participants will play an active role in defending the interests of the Azerbaijani state and contributing to the implementation of its various projects," Muradov said.
