Central Bank of Azerbaijan lowers discount rate

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has decreased the discount rate by 0.5 percentage points from 9% to 8.5%, Report informs referring to the CBA.

The lower threshold of the interest rate corridor was lowered by 0.5 percentage points from 7.5% to 7%, and the upper limit was decreased by 0.5 percentage points from 10% to 9.5%.

“The decision was made taking into account the dynamics of factors that have a decreasing and increasing impact on the price level in the internal and external environment,” reads the statement.
