Minister: Azerbaijan-Türkiye energy infrastructure carries major oil, gas volumes

A total of 561 million tons of oil and 196 billion cubic meters of gas have so far been supplied from Azerbaijan to Türkiye and to international markets via Türkiye through oil and gas infrastructure, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said.

According to Report, he made the remarks at the 5th Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum in Baku.

Shahbazov said 130 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas had been transported to Türkiye over this period, including 40 billion cubic meters through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP).

"In the first eight months of this year alone, 6.2 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas were supplied to Türkiye, 7.5 billion cubic meters to European countries via Türkiye, and 1 billion cubic meters to Syria," he said.
