Azerbaijan resumes cinnamon imports from UAE

From January through July 2022, Azerbaijan imported 60.56 tons of cinnamon for $198,320, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistics Committee.
Compared to the same period in 2021, these figures are 61% and 27% higher, respectively.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 25.16 tons (+4.2 times) of cinnamon from Vietnam for $79,340 (2.7 times more than a year ago), 22.53 tons (+3.8 times) from Iran for $53,650 (+3.6 times), 8 tons (+14.3%) from India for $24,000 (+12%), 1.36 tons (+ 48%) Turkiye for $15,470 (+23%), 1.2 tons (+120 times) from Sri Lanka for $10,130 (+166 times).
After seven years and five months, the supply from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was resumed: Azerbaijan imported 0.2 tons of cinnamon for $700.
