Putin-Rahmon meeting starts in Bishkek

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon are holding a meeting in Bishkek, Report informs referring to TASS.

The meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State will be held later.

Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian leader, previously noted that there are many topics for discussion.

These are issues of further development of bilateral relations in various areas, issues of regional security, primarily related to the situation on the border of Tajikistan with Afghanistan, issues of the functioning of the 201st military base in the republic.
