Between 10 to 15 people remain under the rubble of a collapsed building in Batumi, said Georgian Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri.
Report informs that, according to the minister, calls for help can be heard from under the rubble.
Although the exact cause of the accident is unknown, the repair work on the first floor of the building is believed to be the primary reason. The minister ruled out the possibility of a gas leak.
About 200 rescuers and special equipment were mobilized for the rescue operation.
