Erdogan: Hurjet fighter to be able to replace F-16 in Turkish Air Force

The Turkish Hurjet combat training fighter will be re-equipped with domestic weapons and will be able to partially replace the F-16 aircraft in the Turkish Air Force, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the presentation of new models of military aviation in Kahramankazan city, Report informs referring to TASS.
“The Hurjet will soon be equipped with domestic weapons and radars. It will be able to partially replace the F-16 aircraft we have in service. We will transfer the Hurjet to the armed forces, and separate squadrons will be formed from this aircraft,” Erdogan said.
