Azerbaijani mayor in Georgia resigns

The Marneuli mayor Zaur Dargalli, who is running for deputy, has tendered his resignation. Georgian bureau of Report informs, the reason was the start of a 60-day pre-election agitation and propaganda campaign. The duties of the mayor will be performed by one of his deputies.
Dargalli started meetings with voters today.
Notably, parliamentary elections in Georgia are scheduled for October 31. Dargalli will run for parliament from the Marneuli-Gardabani constituency.
