Ukraine confirms strikes on Russia's Syzran refinery

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has officially confirmed that a Ukrainian strike was carried out on the Syzran oil refinery in Russia's Samara region.
According to Report, this was stated in a message by the General Staff on Telegram.
"It has been confirmed that the Syzran oil refinery, which was struck by Ukraine's Defense Forces on May 21, 2026, has halted operations," the General Staff said.
According to the General Staff, the Syzran refinery became the sixth Russian oil refining facility to suspend operations after strikes by Ukrainian drones. Repairs to the plant's main unit may take more than a month.
The General Staff noted that on May 25 and overnight into May 26, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck command posts, warehouses, logistics facilities and other infrastructure of Russian troops.
In addition, equipment and reservoirs were damaged as a result of a strike on the Yaroslavl linear production and dispatch station on May 25.
The Ukrainian side also confirmed that Russia's 1L125 Niobiy-SV radar station was hit in the Yarsk district of Ukraine's occupied Luhansk region on May 24.
