President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has called for joint efforts and the development of a common strategy to respond to current global challenges.
According to Report's correspondent in Bishkek, he made the remarks while speaking at the SCO Plus high-level meeting.
"Today, we are facing growing geopolitical tensions and regional conflicts, increasing threats of terrorism, extremism and radicalism, as well as energy and food challenges. The consequences of climate change are becoming increasingly tangible, requiring us to join forces and develop a common strategy for effective response," Rahmon said.
In this regard, the Tajik president highlighted his country's initiatives in the field of water resources. Alongside the Dushanbe Water Process and the Dushanbe Glacier Protection Process, Tajikistan has proposed establishing a Dushanbe Framework Program on Water Issues aimed at advancing the global water agenda beyond 2030.
