Singapore starts COVID vaccination for children aged 5-12

Coronavirus vaccination for children aged 5 to 12 has started in Singapore, Report informs referring to foreign media.
According to Education Minister Chan Chun Sing, children aged 9 to 12 will be the first to receive Pfizer and BioNTech jabs.
“From January 5, children between aged 6-8 will be invited for vaccination, and the next day everyone else,” the minister noted.
In total, 15 specialized centers have been opened on the territory of Singapore, which will serve up to 1,000 children a day.
“Today, representatives of this age group make up the largest segment of the local society that has not yet received a vaccine,” the inter-agency group to combat the spread of COVID-19 said in a statement.
