Netanyahu says regime change in Iran is Israel's main goal

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that regime change in Iran is Israel's main foreign policy objective and described achieving it as feasible in the foreseeable future.

According to Report, he made the remarks at a meeting with Defense Minister Israel Katz, Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir and senior military officials. The statement was made ahead of the upcoming Rosh Hashanah holiday.

"I am convinced of our ability to eliminate this threat once and for all - that is, to overthrow the regime in Tehran. This is the main goal that still lies ahead of us, but achieving it is already close. It is not impossible. It is well within reach," Netanyahu said, according to his office.

He claimed that Iran is now weaker than ever and is fighting for survival.
