Japan landslide: Death toll reaches 13

The death toll from a giant mudslide that occurred in Atami, a hot spring resort southwest of Tokyo, earlier this month has risen by one to 13, Report informs, citing Yomiuri newspaper.
About 16 people are reported missing. However, the authorities say this number may increase.
The search for the missing resumed yesterday morning. A landslide destroyed about 130 houses in the prefecture.
So far, it is impossible to determine the whereabouts of 18 people. More than 500 people were accommodated in temporary hotels.
