India's COVID crisis deepens as daily incidence remains over 300,000

India registered 323,144 new cases of COVID-19 over the past day, Report informs with reference to CNA.
It is the sixth day in a row that India’s daily COVID incidence is over 300,000.
Overcrowded hospitals continue to deny patients due to a lack of beds and oxygen supplies.
India has called on its military to help deal with the devastating crisis. Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat said the military will provide oxygen, and retired military medics will join health facilities that are trying to handle the influx of infected people.
Countries including the UK, Germany, and the US have pledged to help India.
