German Interior Minister Nancy Feser has admitted that the Telegram messenger may be blocked in the country if the requirements of German legislation are not met, Report informs.
A lot of instructions on violations are being written out, but their implementation is ‘partially stalled.’ A common European solution is required to resolve the current situation.
At the same time, shutting down Telegram in Germany will be an extreme measure. “We must always watch what happens if the service is turned off - then another one will come and we will face the same problem,” the minister explained and urged to look for other options before deciding on such a radical step.
