Azerbaijan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan Farid Talibov has visited Azerbaijan's national sumo team, which is currently holding a training camp in Japan, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijan-Japan Martial Arts and Culture Association.
Members of the national team have been training at the Asahi Gaoka Sumo School and Nihon University, Japan's largest university. Talibov visited the team's training session and familiarized himself with the preparation process.
The ambassador wished the national team success at the World Sumo Championship, which will be held in Baku on October 17-18, and expressed confidence that the team would achieve strong results at the competition.
