At least 21 killed as heavy rains batter Nepal

At least 21 people have died as a result of persistent heavy rains in Nepal.

According to Report, citing The Kathmandu Post and local authorities, rain-related disasters in Gandaki Province alone have killed 11 people and injured four, while another four people are reported missing.

In addition, floods and landslides have left at least 1,500 people homeless.

A total of 179 houses have been completely destroyed, 26 partially damaged, while another 270 homes are at risk of collapse.
