Ilham Aliyev approves Memorandum between Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan in defense

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has approved a Memorandum of Understanding on Defense Cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, Report informs.
The head of state signed the corresponding decree.
Following the Memorandum's entry into force, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense has been instructed to ensure its implementation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to notify the government of Turkmenistan of the completion of the domestic procedures required for the Memorandum to enter into force.
The Memorandum was signed in Baku on June 22, 2026.
