Defense Ministry neutralized 17,635 mines in liberated territories 

On April 1-14, 2022, the special units of the engineering troops of the Defense Ministry cleared 492.06 hectares of land and found 71 unexploded ordnance in Aghdam Kalbajara, Lachin, Gubadli, Shusha, Khojaly, and Khojavend districts, the Ministry of Defense said at a meeting of the Working Group on clearing mines and unexploded ordnance of the Interdepartmental Center.

According to the approved action plan, 19 of the ordered projects have been completed, and 14 projects are being implemented.

The ministry has cleared 15,026 hectares of land of mines and explosives and neutralized 17,635 mines and unexploded ordnance so far.
