LinkedIn not intended for children, company official says

LinkedIn is not intended for children and has a specific audience, Seamus Clancy, Head of Public Sector, Healthcare and Nonprofit Sales at LinkedIn, said at a side event held during the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, Report informs.

He made the remarks at the event titled "Digital platforms and information security: current challenges and key solutions."

According to Clancy, LinkedIn is not social media, and people on the platform know what they want.

"The global economy is represented there. Governments use this platform as an education and marketing tool. Many government agencies in Azerbaijan also use this platform," he said.

Clancy added that the platform's specialists are able to respond quickly to materials that violate its rules.

"Since 2019, we have been ahead in terms of trust. We have a dedicated trust and safety team that monitors our platform 24/7. Their job is to detect harmful content and remove it from the platform," he said.
