"It is not advisable for people with gastrointestinal diseases to eat persimmons," said Anna Ivashkevich, a dietitian at the National Clinical Nutrition Association.
According to Report, consuming large amounts of this product can lead to disorders in healthy people.
"The fact is that this food contains many tannins, which are mainly characteristic of raw fruits. Persimmons also include a large number of plant fibers. These substances harm the stomach and intestines," the expert stated.
Ivashkevich explained that tannic acids reduce the secretion of the small intestine and worsen peristalsis. The nutritionist advised not to eat more than three fruits a day, as well as not to add persimmons to the child's diet.
