Armenia to finalize new constitution draft for public and expert review

The draft of Armenia's new constitution will be finalized and submitted for public and professional discussion, Report informs via TASS.

"The new constitution must become not only a legal document, but also a unified political agreement of the people of Armenia regarding the future of the state, the basic principles of internal and external relations," the Armenian government's draft program for 2026–2031 states.

"The new constitution should contribute to the establishment of a legal state, the deepening of democracy and public trust, as well as the long-term sustainable development of the state ... The draft of the new Constitution of Armenia will be finalized and submitted for public and professional discussion, and steps will be taken to submit it to a referendum."

This issue is included in the agenda for the government session on August 20.
