Azerbaijan developing five-year strategic plan for compulsory health insurance

A five-year strategic plan is being prepared for compulsory medical insurance in Azerbaijan, said Chairman of the Executive Board of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, Zaur Aliyev, Report informs.
According to him, the goal is to provide timely, quality services to citizens by covering more medical services within the framework of insurance: "In order to determine the needs of the population for medical services, the analysis of the current situation, the level of morbidity, and the corresponding demand for medical services will be worked on. It is planned to increase the number of services covered by the Service Envelope and carry out socio-economic pricing of the services to be provided."
