More than 700 POS-terminals in Azerbaijan failed in month

Baku. 10 August. REPORT.AZ/ The total number of POS-terminals in Azerbaijan decreased by 0.98% or 723 units in June 2016 and as of July 1 amounted to 73 222 units.
Report informs Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic said.
According to the information compared to the beginning of the year, the figure dropped by 8.82% or 7 079 units.
Compared with the same period last year the figure dropped by 6.44%, or 5 042 units.
57.45% or 42 063 units of POS-terminals across the country are in Baku, 42.55% or 31 159 units - in regions.
Notably, 1 POS terminal installed for every 130 people in Azerbaijan.
