Major U.S. stock-market benchmarks booked records on Thursday as U.S. Treasury yields steadied and as President Joe Biden signed a $1.9 trillion financial aid package to boost the economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, Report informs, citing MarketWatch.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose to 32,485.59, booking a closing record after carving out an intraday all-time high at 32,661.59.
The S&P 500 climbed to 3,939.34, finishing at a record.
The Nasdaq Composite Index jumped 300.83 points or 2.36% to 13,052.90.
WTI crude price increased by 2.21% to $66.12, the gold price surged 0.15% to $1,724.05 an ounce.
