CBA: Agriculture share in business loans reaches 22.5%

In business loans, the amount given to agriculture increased compared to previous years and reached 22.5% by the end of 2022, Togrul Aliyev, Director General of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), said at the II Agribusiness Forum in Baku, Report informs.
According to him, 1/3 of the business loans given to the agricultural sector were realized at the expense of the state, and 2/3 of the banks' own funds.
Aliyev also noted that over the past year, the total loan portfolio of banks increased by 17.6% and reached 19.6 billion manats ($11.5 billion):
"Business loans in this portfolio increased by 11% to 55.4%. Currently, the volume of this portfolio is 11 billion manats ($6.5 billion)."
