The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is participating with its own pavilion at the 28th International Oil and Gas Exhibition – OGU2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Report informs, citing SOCAR.
SOCAR's stand highlights the company's diverse activities, including exploration, production, and development operations, the oil and gas pipeline system, and strategic projects abroad – particularly geological exploration at Uzbekistan's Ustyurt field.
In addition, SOCAR is presenting initiatives in green energy, decarbonization, digitalization, and other strategic directions, showcasing modern solutions to visitors.
SOCAR Vice President Arzu Javadova told Sputnik Uzbekistan that the joint project with Uzbekneftgaz in the Ustyurt region reflects the current stage of energy cooperation between the two countries.
She noted that large‑scale fieldwork and seismic exploration are underway in Karakalpakstan: "This is the largest seismic data collection campaign in Uzbekistan. We have moved beyond traditional cable systems to 3D technology, which significantly reduces fieldwork time while ensuring higher‑quality and denser data."
