Azerbaijan spends over $5B on cocoa imports

In January 2022, Azerbaijan imported cocoa and cocoa products worth $5.291 billion, up $0.306 million or 6.1% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
In the reporting period, the exports of cocoa and cocoa products from Azerbaijan amounted to $157,000, down $241,000 or 2.5-fold from a year earlier.
Share of imports of cocoa and cocoa products constituted 0.54% of total imports, while exports accounted for 0.01% of total exports.
