Azerbaijan's melon exports fall 40% in January-July

Azerbaijan exported 216 tons of melons worth $173,400 in January-July 2026.

According to calculations by Report based on data from the State Statistics Committee, exports decreased by 37% in value and 40% in volume compared with the same period last year.

Azerbaijan exported 414.2 tons worth $162,000 to Russia, down 44% in volume and 39% in value year-on-year.

It also supplied 16.1 tons worth $11,400 to Belarus.

Azerbaijan resumed melon exports to Belarus after a break of one year and 11 months.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 92.24 tons of melons worth $73,400, down 8% in volume and 4% in value.

Imports from Iran totaled 53.4 tons worth $38,500, down 25% in volume and 22% in value.

Azerbaijan also imported 19.1 tons worth $19,000 from Uzbekistan, with the volume increasing 3.2 times and the value threefold.

Imports from Türkiye reached 13.4 tons worth $9,400, up 56% in volume and 57% in value.

Brazil supplied 5.4 tons worth $5,400, down 36% in volume and 35% in value, while Costa Rica supplied 1 ton worth $1,000, down 66.7% in volume and 67% in value.
