The 100th Jubilee Agribusiness Festival is being held today in the city of Aghdam, Azerbaijan.
According to Report's correspondent in Aghdam, a panel discussion themed State Support Mechanisms in the Agricultural Sector was organized as part of the festival.
The discussion, hosted by the Agrarian Innovation Center under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture, was the 25th in a series of regional panel events. Since last year, 24 such discussions have been held across the country's 12 economic regions, with the Aghdam event marking the 25th session.
Participants included Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov, the Azerbaijani President's Special Representative in the Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavand districts, Emin Huseynov, Chairman and CEO of Agro Dairy LLC, Niyazi Amirbayov, and Chairman and CEO of Azershakar Nasib Islamzada.
The panel reviewed key objectives outlined in the 2026-2030 State Program for the Development of Agricultural, Fisheries and Aquaculture Production and Processing in Azerbaijan, as well as the support mechanisms introduced by the state to achieve those goals.
Participants also discussed opportunities for agricultural development in the liberated territories, reconstruction efforts in Aghdam, the Great Return process, the district's agricultural potential, and measures to attract entrepreneurs to the region.
Another major focus of the discussion was public-private cooperation. Private-sector representatives shared information on ongoing and planned initiatives supporting the State Program's objectives, including projects being implemented and planned in the liberated territories.
The panel concluded with an exchange of views on state support mechanisms, unlocking the agricultural potential of the liberated areas, private-sector participation, and new opportunities for cooperation.
