Armenia, Türkiye discuss restoration of Gyumri-Kars power line

Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan has received a delegation led by Mustafa Pustu, Director General of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ).

According to Report, citing Armenian media, Khudatyan wrote about the meeting on his Facebook page.

"We discussed work being carried out to restore and commission the Gyumri-Kars electricity transmission line as part of the normalization process between Armenia and Türkiye," he said.

According to Khudatyan, the sides emphasized the importance of interconnecting the Armenian and Turkish electricity systems in the context of both bilateral and regional cooperation.

"Today, the Turkish delegation also held a meeting with the management of Electric Power System Operator of Armenia CJSC and High Voltage Electric Networks CJSC," Khudatyan added.
