Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory may reopen for tourists

The State Tourism Agency is working on the preparation of the new tourism development concept of Shamakhi, Azada Huseynova, deputy chairperson of the Agency, told Report.

"The tourism potential of Shamakhi is huge. One of its most major advantages is its proximity to Baku. It is planned to implement projects related to the development of ecotourism in Shamakhi. In addition, preliminary planning was carried out for the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences to receive tourists again," she said.
