Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan mull diversification of economic ties

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in a number of areas, as well as strengthening ties between the two countries' business communities, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov wrote on X, Report informs.

"During our working visit to Uzbekistan, together with Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, and colleagues, we participated in the 4th Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan Interregional Forum. We highlighted the intensive development of economic ties between our two countries, bound by strategic partnership relations, and the broad opportunities for diversifying cooperation and strengthening regional connectivity. The discussions also covered promoting cooperation and strengthening direct ties among business communities in industry, investment, trade, energy, transport and transit, digitalisation, agriculture, and other areas," Jabbarov wrote.
