Foreign tourist attacked by bear in Japan

A male foreign tourist was attacked by a bear near an observation deck overlooking Lake Towada, a popular tourist spot, in the northeastern prefecture of Aomori, local authorities said Saturday, Report informs via Kyodo News.

The man, whose right arm was bitten by the bear, was airlifted to a hospital but was able to communicate, according to the city of Towada and the local fire department.
