The Tokyo Olympic Games organizers are planning to prepare 300 hotel rooms for athletes who may test positive for coronavirus during the competitions, Report informs with reference to Japanese media.
The organizing committee of the games plans to reserve an entire hotel located a few kilometers from the Olympic village, which will probably cost several million dollars, Kyodo News said, citing several unnamed sources.
All athletes and members of delegations who test positive will be quarantined for ten days and receive 24-hour medical assistance.
Members of sports delegations will be tested for COVID-19 every four days, following the rules published in February. More detailed guidance on isolation and testing will be given later in April.
