Lebanese president to visit US for talks with Trump on July 21

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun will pay an official visit to the United States on July 21 at the invitation of the White House, according to a post by Al Arabiya correspondent Nadia Bilbassy-Charters on X.

"The Embassy of Lebanon in Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce that the White House has extended an official invitation to His Excellency President Joseph Aoun to visit Washington D.C. and meet with President Donald Trump on July 21, 2026," she wrote.

According to Bilbassy-Charters, the invitation underscores the strong partnership between Lebanon and the United States and provides an opportunity for the two leaders to discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest.

The agenda is expected to include bilateral relations, regional security, and continued US support for Lebanon's sovereignty, stability, territorial integrity and state institutions.
