ADY boosts passenger transportation by 18% in 1H2026

In January-June of 2026, Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) transported 5,464,009 passengers via the Absheron circular railway line and interregional routes, marking an 18% increase year-on-year, ADY told Report.
More than 5.1 million passengers (+17%) traveled on the Absheron circular railway line, while nearly 289,000 (+17%) used interregional routes.
In June alone, ADY trains carried 950,287 passengers, representing a 24% rise compared to June 2025.
Additionally, over 12,000 passengers traveled on the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku route, which resumed operations in May.
