Azerbaijan to host 7th meeting of OTS religious leaders

The seventh meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Directorates of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will be held in 2026 in Azerbaijan, Report informs referring to the press service of the OTS.

The decision was made today in Bishkek during the sixth meeting.

At the end of the meeting, the chairmanship of the council was transferred to the Caucasus Muslims Board. In addition, it was decided that the seventh meeting of the Council will be held in Azerbaijan in 2026. Following the event, the resolution "Unity of the Ummah in Islam", "International Call for the Prevention of Climate Change, Protection of the Environment and Solution of Environmental Problems", as well as resolutions of the Fatwa Committee were also adopted.

Azerbaijan was represented at the event by the head of the Caucasus Muslims Board Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazada.
