US traveler impressed by Karabakh landscapes, ancient monasteries

US traveler Victoria Scrima, visiting the region as part of an international group from the Most Traveled People (MTP) club, shared these sentiments, according to a Report correspondent in Karabakh.

Scrima said this is her first visit to Karabakh, though she previously traveled to Azerbaijan in 2024.

"Everything I have seen so far has been very interesting. The landscapes here are incredibly beautiful. Today's drive along the mountain roads left a particularly strong impression on me," she said.

Scrima also shared her impressions of visiting the ancient Albanian monasteries of Khudavang and Ganjasar. She noted that Ganjasar's location among the mountain landscapes was particularly striking.

"I especially liked the location of the monastery we are in right now. It is situated among the mountains in a very picturesque setting. Both monasteries are truly beautiful, however," she said.

The traveler added that the trip to Azerbaijan allowed her to explore the country's historical heritage. She also expressed satisfaction with her return visit to Baku, where she was able to experience the capital's cultural life firsthand.
