Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has issued a statement urging public figures to refrain from calls for protests in Georgia, Georgian Bureau of Report informs.
According to the statement, such calls can be considered interference in Georgia's internal affairs, a strategic partner of Ukraine: "Ukraine has never allowed such interference and will continue to oppose such actions."
Chairman of the Executive Committee of Ukraine's National Council for Reforms, former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili has recently called for mass protests in Georgia. In this regard, Ukrainian Ambassador Igor Dolgov was summoned to the Georgian Foreign Ministry yesterday.
