Turkmenistan's GDP growth exceeds last year's figure

From January through May 2021, the GDP growth rate was 6.1 percent in Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Gadyrgeldy Mushshikov said at a government meeting via video conference, Report informs.
Mushshikov noted that compared to the same period in 2020, production increased by 5.3 percent, and the volume of retail trade grew by 17.5 percent. Compared to the corresponding period of the last year, the average monthly salary in the country increased by 10.5 percent.
The government official also said that 52 state property objects were privatized under the program for the denationalization of state property in January-May 2021.
