Ibrahim Kalin, head of Türkiye's National Intelligence Organization (MIT), met with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani in Ankara, Report informs via Turkish media outlets.
The meeting focused on Türkiye-Syria relations and areas of cooperation, relations with neighboring countries, and regional stability.
The sides emphasized the importance of maintaining coordination in the fight against terrorist organizations such as ISIS.
The meeting also addressed Israel's ongoing attacks in southern Syria, as well as the impact of the lifting of US sanctions on Syria and its potential contribution to strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
