Any predictions regarding prices on oil products are challenging amid developments in the Middle East.
Chairman of the Union of Georgian Oil Product Importers, Vano Mtvralashvili, told Report that the Turkey-Lybia conflict also influences the oil price.
"Oil price exceeded $70 amid US-Iran tensions. Iran has quit the nuclear deal, and if it takes retaliatory steps and launches hostilities, oil prices will be unpredictable. The situation in the Middle East has always defined the oil price, and now the situation is tense enough," Mtvralashvili said.
He also expects fuel prices to increase in Georgia, adding that the GEL exchange rate so far balances the process.
