The Russian economy has enough strength to be confident and move forward, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his address to the citizens and a large press conference with journalists, Report informs.
According to Putin, Russian GDP growth by the end of the year is expected to be 3.5%, which is a good indicator.
At the same time, inflation in Russia may accelerate to 8% by the end of the year, but the Central Bank and the government are taking measures to return it to target levels.
The Russian president also noted that the unemployment rate in the country was 2.9%.
