Central Bank of Azerbaijan shares strategy at Bundesbank panel

Fuad Jafarov, Director of the Strategy and Project Management Department at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), took part in an expert panel on strategy and innovation organized by Germany's Bundesbank.

According to the CBA, cited by Report, Jafarov shared the bank's experience in developing and implementing the "Financial Sector Development Strategy for 2024–2026," which is aimed at transforming Azerbaijan's financial sector.

He outlined the strategy's key priorities and objectives, highlighting its role in expanding financial inclusion, increasing access to financial services and diversifying financial instruments. Jafarov said the strategy also seeks to improve efficiency in the financial sector, strengthen corporate governance and enhance transparency and sustainability.

The panel, attended by representatives of several central banks, focused on strategic management, digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence in governance, project and portfolio management, and organizational development.

The event served as a platform for sharing international best practices, promoting professional dialogue and strengthening cooperation among central banks in the fields of strategy and innovation.
